2nd District Courthouse Garage
| As prime design consultant, Soodan & Associates, Inc. provided architectural and engineering services for the award-winning design of a new five-story, 1,050-car parking garage for the 2nd District Courthouse in Skokie, Illinois. The garage is a pre-cast concrete structure with complete electrical and fire protection systems. The design includes four glass-enclosed stair/elevator towers. Soodan provided computer modeling to help determine the fenestration and material selections. The project included the demolition of the existing parking structure and the design of temporary parking for 375 vehicles. Soodan’s services included civil engineering for the site development and complete architectural and engineering services including programming, cost estimating and scheduling for the County. Soodan also provided construction administration services. |
