The design was for complete removal of existing bridges and construction of new three span PPC I beam bridges with curved alignment over railroad including superelevation & transition. The substructure was designed as open abutments on steel friction piles and concrete piers with circular columns supported on steel friction piles. The substructure elements were designed with extended footings for future widening.
