Kelvyn Park High School
| Soodan & Associates, Inc. provided structural engineering services for the new Kelvyn Park High School, which will accommodate students from the Kelvyn Park area in Chicago. The building complex will have seven buildings, consisting of classrooms, an auditorium, a gymnasium, a laboratory, a computer laboratory and natatorium facilities for 1,200 high school students. The school will have tennis courts and a soccer field. There are two main entrances on the building complex from north and south sides, and a 40-ft-tall atrium in the middle of the school. The tall, sloped entrances of the school will be covered with tall glass facades. The exterior facade of the school will have precast and glass facades. Soodan prepared 100% complete construction documents for structural work and also provided structural shop drawing review. |
